Arizona is a southwestern U.S state that is known for its Grand Canyon! Arizona has warm temperatures unlike South Dakota so it's perfect to go on vacation here during the winters. Mark Kelly represents Arizona, so we will go through the population, major cities, demographics, specific industries, parties, and state concerns in this blog. It's really important to look at the basic statistics and data because we need to know what Kelly looks at when making any discussion regarding his work.
The state of Arizona was recorded to be at a population of 7.279 million in the year 2019. Its governor is Doug Ducey who is from the republican party. Arizona is not too big nor is it too small. The state is sized at 113,653.1 square miles. Furthermore, data shows that there are 64 people every square mile.

Most of the revenue generated in Arizona is through the service industry which includes trade, transport, utilities, education and health, professionalism and business/finance, hospitality, etc. Tourism contributes to this industry since many people travel through or to visit the natural wonders of Arizona.
The Mining Industry is large in Arizona because the best mining source for copper is in this state. 65% of the copper in the United States comes from Arizona and the state is the 6th largest producer of copper in the world. Additionally, Arizona also has other mining sources such as gypsum, helium, natural gas, and oil.
Farmland in Arizona is to be an estimated distance of 26.2 acres. Many farms are to be in the rural area of Arizona. The top five agricultural products of Arizona are cattle, calves, vegetation, dairy, and cotton. Arizona's biggest crop is lettuce. The agriculture of lettuce is so large in the state that Arizona is 2nd ranked for production for lettuce in the entire country.
Party Affiliation: The election between Biden and Trump was very close as the difference was 49.4 for blue and 49.1% for red. There were 1,672,143 votes for blue and 1,661,686 votes for red. Arizona is a state to watch out for in future elections which makes Mark Kelly's work more interesting because anything could happen.
COVID Concerns: The total number of covid cases Arizona has received: 1,950,483. In the last 6 months, there has been an amount of 975,486 cases. This data easily tells us that the number of cases is still climbing higher than in each discussion, we must consider this factor in making decisions.
